About our Recovery Program

When a woman begins her journey with Women of Worth Recovery, she is welcomed with care, dignity, and compassion. Her experience starts with a thoughtful intake process where we take time to truly listen—understanding her story, her struggles, and her spiritual needs so we can create a personalized path toward healing and restoration.

From the very first day, our heart is to provide a safe, grace-filled environment where she feels valued, supported, and deeply loved by God. Through consistent guidance, daily structure, meaningful community, and Christ-centered mentorship, we walk beside her every step of the way—because true and lasting recovery begins with faith at the center and a renewed understanding of her worth.

Frequently Asked Questions

Must be 18+ years of age
Must be free from alcohol or substance use for at least 72 hours and not in need of detoxification
Must submit a urine drug screen upon admission
Must not have any active warrants in this or any other county.
Must not have ever had a sexual charge. Freedom Ministries Lighthouse reserves the right to request a background check
Must be medically stable and be willing to be assessed as free of any illness or infection that requires isolation from others
Must have an RPR, TB and nursing assessment done day of admittance
Must be entering the facility voluntarily
Must be willing to commit to active participation in all aspects of the program
Must be able to meet personal needs without assistance
Must recognize that alcohol/drug use is a problem and have a desire to recover and change

Freedom Ministries Lighthouse is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and does not receive funding from any federal, state, court, or social service program. Costs are covered solely through entrance fees, residency fees, and donations.

An entrance fee of $1500 is due upon day of admittance that will cover your cost for the first 30 days in the program. There is a $400 nonrefundable fee. Once completing your first 30 days you are required to gain employment and be self-supporting. Resident fees then will be due each Friday at $300 weekly. This fee will cover food and transportation.

Freedom Ministries Lighthouse does not accept insurance. Payments are made in the form of cash, check, money order or cashier’s check. Payments may be made by PayPal on our website but 2.75% must be added for processing fee. All returned checks will incur a $35 fee to be paid by resident in cash.

Resident Rules, Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines

1. Drug and Alcohol Testing / Search Policy

Residents will be required by staff to undergo alcohol and/or drug testing on a random or reasonable cause basis. Additionally, residents will be subject to a search of their person or personal belongings at any time, at the discretion of staff.

Refusal to comply with testing or search requests, or submitting a positive drug/alcohol screen, will result in immediate discharge from the program.
Residents will be charged a flat monthly fee of $20.00 for drug testing, regardless of how many tests are administered.
All positive test results may be verified through an approved laboratory. Residents are financially responsible for any additional lab fees incurred.

2. Prohibited Substances and Paraphernalia

Use or possession of alcohol, illegal drugs, or any drug-related paraphernalia (including pipes, rolling papers, etc.) No type of energy drink is allowed during the program or while on pass. This is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate discharge.

3. Violence and Threats

Physical violence, verbal abuse, or threats toward staff, residents, or volunteers will not be tolerated. Any violation will result in immediate discharge and may lead to criminal prosecution.

4. Illegal Activity

Engaging in any illegal activity is grounds for immediate discharge and possible legal action.

5. Interaction with Neighbors

Residents are strictly prohibited from interacting with neighbors (including waving, speaking, or asking for favors such as making phone calls or relaying messages). Residents must remain in designated areas. Violation may result in immediate discharge.

6. Gambling and Pornography

Gambling or possession of pornography may result in immediate discharge from the program.

7. Electronic Devices and Cell Phones

Residents are not allowed to possess or use cell phones or other electronic devices. Use of a visitor’s or guest’s device is also prohibited.

While on pass you are not allowed to use or look at a phone without staff approval.
Cell phone use at work may be allowed only with staff approval.
Any violation will result in discharge.

8. Profanity and Romanticizing Substance Use

Profanity, obscene gestures, or romanticizing past drug or alcohol use is not permitted.

9. Dress Code

Clothing that displays offensive content or contradicts Christian values or recovery principles may not be worn on the premises. No sleeveless shirts, or tank tops (wife beaters) are allowed. Violations may lead to discharge.

10. Respect for Property

Defacing, damaging, or destroying any building, furniture, vehicle or property will result in immediate discharge and your account will be charged for damage.

11. Tobacco Use Policy

Tobacco products are permitted only in designated areas. Use is not allowed in any building or in Lighthouse vehicles.

No sharing or loaning tobacco without staff approval.
Electronic smoking devices (e-cigarettes, vapes, etc.) are strictly prohibited.
Tobacco requests must be submitted on Mondays; approved items will be distributed once per week.
Violation of this policy may result in discharge.

12. Prohibited Items ("Do Not Bring" List)

Possession of any item on the “Do Not Bring” list is strictly prohibited. Residents found with these items may be discharged.

Copies of the list are available upon request from staff or on Freedom Ministries Lighthouse, Inc. website.

13. Fraternization and Conduct During Services

Fraternization (including whispering, note-passing, or any disruptive behavior) during special services (church, AA/NA meetings, Bible study, work events, etc.) is not permitted.

After services, residents must return to housing or enter the van within five minutes.
Brief acknowledgment of individuals with LASA status or those discharged from the program is allowed, but no extended conversation is permitted.
Violations may result in immediate discharge.

14. Honesty and Integrity

Any misrepresentation of pass information or attempts to manipulate, bypass, or deviate from program rules and procedures may result in immediate discharge.

15. Repeated Violations

Continuous or repeated violations of these rules may result in discharge from the program.

1. You have the right to be free from physical and verbal abuse;

2. You have the right to be free from physical restraints and seclusion unless it is determined that there

are no less restrictive methods of controlling behavior to reasonably insure the safety of you, the

Resident and other persons;

3. You have the right to be informed about your plan of action during your stay and to participate in the planning as able;

4. You have the right to be promptly and fully informed of any changes in your plan of action;

5. You have the right to accept or refuse any plan of action, unless it is determined through established

legal processes that you are unable to care for yourself, or are a danger to yourself or others;

6. You have the right to be fully informed of the charges;

7. You have the right to the confidentiality of your Resident records;

8. You have the right to have and retain personal property that does not jeopardize your

Safety, violate written program rules, or endanger the safety of other Residents;

9. You have the right to converse privately, have convenient and reasonable access to the

phone and mail, and to see visitors unless denial is necessary for your plan of action and the reasons

are documented in your action plan;

10. You have the right to be informed of the program's complaint policy and procedure,s and

the right to submit complaints without fear of discrimination or retaliation, and to have them

investigated by the program within a reasonable period;

11. You have the right to access your own records and obtain copies of them when needed.

BRINGS LIST

1. Personal Bible and any AA/NA book, daily devotional.

2. (2) Full-size spiral notebooks for taking notes and journal.

3. Pens, pencils, and highlighter.

4. Make prior arrangements for someone to send a weekly money order to the resident during their first 30 days.

5. Coat hangers.

6. Seasonally appropriate attire such as jeans, khaki pants, shorts, swimming trunks. Shirts MUST have sleeves. T-shirts are OK. Church clothing may be nice jeans and a collared shirt, nothing dressy is required.

7. 3 Washcloths, 3 towels.

8. Bed linens and blankets for a twin-size bed, pillow, and pillowcase.

9. Toothbrush and toothpaste, deodorant, shaving needs, soap, soap dish, shampoo and laundry detergent, shower shoes/flip-flops.

12. Please do not bring over ten pants, ten shirts not including t-shirts, seven socks and seven underwear. Two nice outfits for church to be included with the ten.

13. Shoes: One pair of tennis shoes, one dress shoes for church, one work shoe or boot, one bedroom shoes and one flip flops.

Due to limited space, anything over this will have to be sent back with the family.

DO NOT BRING

1. Any form of medications without prior approval.

2. After-shave, cologne, mouthwash, hairspray or any other aerosol sprays.

3. Tobacco products for “roll your own” cigarettes or pipe smoking.

4. ANY ELECTRONICS such as TV, radio, tape decks, cell phones, e-cigs, etc.

5. Books or magazines except for a Bible and AA/NA material. No CD’s, videotapes, cassettes.

6. Inappropriate clothing.

7. Golf clubs or musical instruments (including guitars).

8. Any valuables, such as expensive jewelry, watches, rings, necklaces, etc.

9. Any of your own drinks or drink mixes.
